Bodycams – video cameras worn on the body – have now fought for their place. With the compact Eagle Eye Body Camera, Eagle Eye Networks presents a 4K body camera with direct video recording to the cloud.

Body cameras, so-called body cams, are intended, for example, to increase the security of the emergency services in the police force and to support a better investigation of crimes against officials through video evidence. But private companies are also increasingly relying on body cams to protect their employees. With the Eagle Eye Body Camera, a compact mobile body cam from Eagle Eye Networks appears on the market, which is connected to the manufacturer’s cloud-based video management. This means that data can be recorded directly in the cloud if the bandwidth is available . The camera is also broadcastingalarms to the security center in case of danger so that they can help the employee as quickly as possible With the help of geo-tagging, employees can also be located more quickly by the security center. The camera has a resolution of 8.3 megapixels and enables videos in 4K. The field of view is 180 degrees. Communication is via two-way audio.

The device also supports 4G or WiFi live streaming . The cam measures 95 x 65 x 35 millimeters and weighs just 155 grams. The necessary energy is supplied by a 6,000 mAh battery , which, according to the manufacturer, can be charged within four hours via USB-C. The Bodycam also has an IP67 certification and is therefore resistant to the effects of water. The body cameras can be purchased through the Eagle Eye Networks CameraManager platform. The manufacturer does not name a price.
