Eagle Eye NuboCam’s power consumption is 1.2A on average usage when the camera is powered on, connected to either 4G or Wi-Fi and is continuously checking motion.

Actual power usage depends on factors like light (day/night mode), storage location (cloud only or cloud and SD card), 4G/Wi-Fi coverage (less coverage means more power), the amount of motion the camera detects (more motion, more power) and the complexity of the image being captured (the more detail, the more power). So a garage with the lights turned on and minor movements take a lot less power than a tree with leaves (lots of detail) or a street in the night with a lot of moving objects.

Motion detection won’t work through windows. The PIR sensor works with heat detection; this is not possible through windows. Place your Eagle Eye NuboCam outside the window for optimal image quality.

IR won’t work through windows. The IR sensor reflects in the window, which causes Eagle Eye NuboCam to get blinded. Please place your Eagle Eye NuboCam outside the window for optimal image quality.

Yes, the Eagle Eye NuboCam can weather the storm outside and the freezer inside. They are sealed and protected to operate in conditions from -20ºC to +40ºC. It’s IP-64.

The Eagle Eye NuboCam supports micro (3FF) SIM cards. The SIM card dimensions should be 15mm x 12mm x 0.76mm. Whenever your (own) micro SIM card is differently sized, we advise you to contact your carrier for a SIM card that matches our specifications as SIM cards with a different dimension can lead to bad performance.

NuboCam App

The Nubo Cam app can be used for setting up, live viewing, playing back your recorded events, alerts you when something is happening and much more!

This feature makes sure you learn instantly what’s happening without the need to open the Eagle Eye NuboCam App. Every push notification you’ll get on your smartphone comes with a snapshot of the Event that’s being captured. Within a few seconds, you’ll know if you need to act quick or if you can take your time before checking the Eagle Eye NuboCam App.

Besides the snapshot two action buttons are added to the Rich Push notifications:

  • Disarm
  • Turn off notifications

By using these button you can quickly Disarm or Turn off the notifications of your Eagle Eye NuboCam without opening the app. This is very useful when using your smartwatch!

Eagle Eye NuboCam uses detections to trigger events and only starts recording or notifies you when something is really happening. We like to call this “Event-based recording”. It’s the perfect way to spend mobile data economically. Eagle Eye NuboCam supports both Motion Detection and Sound Detection and they are both enabled by default.

Eagle Eye NuboCam has its own motion sensor and detects motion in a glance. Eagle Eye NuboCam uses a PIR motion sensor that detects the IR light radiated from objects. This way Eagle Eye NuboCam always ‘sees’ when something’s up.

Besides motion detection, Eagle Eye NuboCam also supports Sound Detection. When Eagle Eye NuboCam detects a sound it will start a recording and send you a push notification. This is very useful when you use you Eagle Eye NuboCam for baby monitoring and will only trigger when sound is detected.

You can turn off each detection individually to better fit your needs. At least one detection should always be on, otherwise, your Eagle Eye NuboCam will not detect anything. Don’t want any detections? Just put your Eagle Eye NuboCam on Disarmed.

The sound sensitivity is used for triggering the sound detection. When the sensitivity is set to low, less sound is needed and events are triggered sooner. When the sensitivity is set to high, a higher amount of sound is needed or you have to scream louder to trigger an event.

The standard sensitivity level is set to 25% and you can easily adjust this in the detection settings. To make life easier for you, we created a sound indicator to measure the current level of sound that your Eagle Eye NuboCam is detecting. Use the slider to choose the perfect sensitivity for your specific needs. Finally, there are three icons to show an indication of the amount of sound that is related to whispering, talking and screaming.

Please note

Make sure your microphone is turned on. Sound detection is unavailable when the microphone of your Eagle Eye NuboCam is turned off.

Just download the app from the app store and press get started. We will guide you through the process.

With the Eagle Eye NuboCam App, you can easily monitor your belongings in real time. Just open the app, select your camera in the Dashboard and you are ready to view your Eagle Eye NuboCam live. Yes, you can login with multiple devices at the same time with the same account.

The activity feed shows all the activity your NuboCam detects, such as event recordings and camera updates and changes.

When using the mobile app on your personal smartphone, data is used for live streaming and events playback. Exact usage depends on the quality settings of your Eagle Eye NuboCam (1080p over WI-Fi or 720p over 4G). When your NuboCam is set to maximum quality between 15 and 20 mb will be used for playback cloud recordings or 1 minute of live streaming video. For exporting or playing back of high quality recordings on your SD card we recommend to do this only when your phone is on Wi-Fi.
