Eagle Eye Networks Expands Mobile Apps to Include Comprehensive Installation Functionality

November 6, 2014 – Eagle Eye Networks, Inc. today announced the immediate availability of enhancements to its Eagle Eye Viewer mobile applications for the Eagle Eye Cloud Security Camera VMS. Integrators and installers can now do complete installation of the Eagle Eye Networks VMS using their iOS and Android devices such as phones and tablets.

In other news today, Eagle Eye also announced interactive cloud security camera mapping for precise viewing of camera location and surveillance layout.

Integrators and installer can use their mobile devices to add the Eagle Eye on-site bridges, cloud managed video recorders (CMVRs), and cameras; a PC-based installation option is still available but no longer required. As each device is plugged in, it can be configured immediately using the mobile app including adding and managing users.

“With the installation features added to the Eagle Eye Viewer, not only is the video completely accessible from mobile devices, but installation no longer requires a laptop computer,” said Dean Drako, Eagle Eye Networks President and CEO. “The mobile app makes setting up cameras and deploying the Eagle Eye Cloud Security Camera VMS even simpler.”

The Eagle Eye Viewer Mobile App – Security Camera Access and Management

Below are feature highlights of the Eagle Eye Viewer, which provides robust video access and system management from mobile devices.

System set up and configuration changes:

  1. Camera installation and setup functions from mobile devices, without a PC onsite.
  2. Automatically capture GPS location for camera and bridges, for use with Eagle Eye’s camera mapping functionality.
  3. Ability to view video while adding a new camera and adjusting settings, allowing installers to easily add/adjust cameras from a ladder or other location in real-time.
  4. Display camera status and settings
  5. Turn Cameras on and off
  6. Bridge status dashboard, with the ability to add and modify bridges
  7. Reseller Dashboard ability to view and access all sub-accounts

Video access:

  1. Historic video browser and real-time updates
  2. Video search based on timestamps and motion
  3. Video playback with optional audio
  4. Displays camera layouts consistently across all user interfaces.
