Debate Over Real-Time Camera Sharing Technology for School Emergency Responses

September 6, 2024 Eagle Eye Networks

Following a recent school shooting, an Albany TV station talks to  Eagle Eye CEO Dean Drako about Eagle Eye 911 Camera Sharing, new technology that enables 911 Emergency Communications Center professionals to access school security cameras so they can deliver real-time information to first responders during an emergency such as a school shooting.

CAPITAL REGION, NY (WRGB) — Wednesday’s school shooting in Georgia is reigniting conversations on school safety and ways to better protect students, staff, and first responders when these emergencies happen.

One company, Eagle Eye Networks, is rolling out new technology that could revolutionize how first responders handle these situations.

The company’s 911 Camera Sharing solution for schools will essentially give dispatch centers access to school surveillance footage in real time when an emergency is reported there.

It’s essentially camera sharing technology that’ll allow 911 dispatchers to access school surveillance cameras in real time during emergencies.
