Sponsoring APIcon and Launching Our Video API

May 27, 2014 Hans Kahler

We have a couple of exciting things going on today. We’re pleased to be a sponsor of APIcon 2014 and we also launched our Video API today. As you can see in the picture to the right, our own Mark Cotton is in San Francisco at APIcon to give all the support we can to these teams. In fact, we’re offering a $1,000 prize to the team that uses our API in the best and most creative application.

Mark said “I’m really excited to participate in APIcon this year, it’s always inspiring to watch what these guys come up with.”

The REST based Eagle Eye Video API is the foundation that the Eagle Eye Security Camera VMS is built on. All of the functionality in the Eagle Eye user interface is available in the API. Traditional integrations such as access control and point of sale systems are fairly simple and straightforward. Because it’s so easy to install the Eagle Eye Security Camera VMS, application developers can focus on their apps, not the complexity of video surveillance.

Stay tuned, we will be updating our blog after APIcon with the ideas that were generated for our new Video API.
