Proactive security, redefined: What’s new at Eagle Eye Networks

May 2, 2025 Rachel Abrams

At Eagle Eye Networks, we’re always working to stay ahead of the curve — bringing smarter, more connected security solutions to our resellers and customers. We’re excited to roll out several powerful new features that take proactive security to the next level: Eagle Eye Automations, point-of-sale (POS) integrations with Lightspeed and Square, and a brand-new Sensors menu in the Eagle Eye Cloud VMS.

Smarter security with Eagle Eye Automations

We’re proud to introduce Eagle Eye Automations — an advanced, AI-driven system that seamlessly integrates object, motion, and event detection from the Eagle Eye Cloud VMS with a powerful, scalable rules engine.

This means your security system can now do more than just record: it can react in real-time. From detecting people or recognizing hotlisted vehicles to identifying weapons or other custom triggers, Automations empowers you to:

  • Send alerts via web, mobile, and email
  • Trigger automated actions based on custom rules
  • Seamlessly integrate with third-party software using Eagle Eye’s open API

POS integration: Lightspeed & Square now supported

Now it’s easier than ever to integrate your point-of-sale system with video surveillance. The Eagle Eye POS module integrates directly with the Eagle Eye Cloud VMS, offering real-time transaction monitoring across all your locations.

Key features include:

  • Smart filtering: Search transactions by terminal, time, employee, SKU, and more
  • Instant playback: View corresponding video footage with just one click
  • Automated reporting: Investigate anomalies and reconcile reports faster
  • Cloud access: Review transactions and video from anywhere, anytime

Benefits of POS integration:

  • Effortless auditing: Review footage linked to transactions to spot suspicious behavior
  • Enhanced fraud detection: Identify suspicious transactions via filters
  • Streamlined research: Flag transactions to save time
  • Reports: Generate reports for offline review

Sensors are live and available through the Business Portal*

  • Vape and smoke particulates
  • Air temperature and humidity
  • Water presence

Customize alerts based on thresholds, and get real-time updates to protect your business environment.
