Personal safety is a daily priority across the entire education sector. To maximise the levels of protection and mitigate security and safety concerns, educational institutions have long used video surveillance systems to monitor and record activity in and around their premises.
At present, however, there are many schools, colleges and universities that have surveillance systems based on traditional analogue, on-premises CCTV technologies. While these systems have served many educational settings well over the years, as they get older, they often require costly maintenance. Cybersecurity updates and best practices must also be ongoing for internet-connected devices.
