Outgoing SIA Chairman V. John Stroia (pictured here) reviewed the association’s accomplishments under his tenure, which included expanded collaboration with other associations and organizations, enhanced education offerings from the SIA Education program and a stronger Certified Security Project Manager credential, and a significant increase in overall membership, which now stands at more than 650 member organizations.
Mr. Stroia also welcomed new SIA Chairman of the Board Denis Hebert who took charge officially on Tuesday.
Before he passed the gavel however, Mr. Stroia recognized outstanding security industry leaders from the previous year with a slate of awards.
