Fenton (Michigan) Police Department is collaborating with Eagle Eye Networks to address persistent retail crime.
FENTON, MI – The Fenton Police Department is using artificial intelligence to crack down on retail theft at area businesses.
The department launched the initiative this month in collaboration with Eagle Eye Networks, a video surveillance provider, and Elite Fire Safety which was responsible for installing Eagle Eye Networks’ surveillance equipment in the city.
The founder and CEO of Eagle Eye Networks, Dean Drako, said his company’s technology is used by commercial businesses, municipalities, and other government entities to monitor and prevent retail theft.
“It’s a very effective solution in the long run for safety and security, for communities, for retail businesses, for commercial organizations, for factories, for warehouses, all of that kind of stuff,” he said. “And I think that we’re going to see a huge, huge trend of adoption of this type of technology over the next 10 years.”
