Control remotely who can open which door and ensure that no uninvited guests arrive. That is the idea behind the collaboration between Eagle Eye Networks and SALTO Systems. To this end, Spanish SALTO integrates Eagle Eye’s cloud-based video monitoring system into its own Keys-as-a-service application.

The announced partnership offers significant benefits for organizations seeking integration between video and access control, the two partners said. They can use the services of both SALTO and Eagle Eye from one interface.
SALTO provides a wireless access control system via the cloud where you can control the opening and closing of doors and you can consult a logbook. The application works with an online portal and a mobile app. In the system you easily give users roles and access rights. Users must identify themselves at each door with a drop or pass.

SALTO has branches all over the world. SALTO KS is located in Amsterdam, the business unit that develops the Key-as-a-service product.

Video surveillance via the cloud

Eagle Eye Networks offers secure video surveillance from the cloud. Between the cameras and the cloud is a so-called bridge, a box that stops hackers. The system connects on the basis of APIs (application protocol interface) with systems, dashboards, analyzes and points of sale of third parties. This allows organizations to continue using their existing surveillance cameras without major investments. The video surveillance tool is accessible via the browser and a mobile app.

Eagle Eye was founded in 2010 and has offices in Austin, Amsterdam Southeast and Tokyo. Computable spoke earlier this year with Dean Drako, founder of Eagle Eye Networks. He said that cloud computing makes video surveillance smart. Drako is also co-founder of Barracuda Networks, supplier of network and cloud security products.
