Eagle Eye Networks entered the Portuguese market at the beginning of the year. Rishi Lodhia, EMEA General Manager, Eagle Eye Networks, in an email interview with Security Magazine, highlights the main milestones of this company, which was born in the United States in 2012 and whose focus is video surveillance in the cloud. The official highlights that the demand for video surveillance in the cloud is growing rapidly among Portuguese companies that want to centrally manage multiple locations. “The need is particularly pressing in the hotel, retail and tourism industries in Portugal.” The company will be present at this year’s Segurex, which takes place in November, in Lisbon.

Security Magazine – How did Eagle Eye Networks start and what are the main milestones throughout its history?

Well-known American entrepreneur Dean Drako, co-founder of Barracuda Networks, founded Eagle Eye Networks in Austin, Texas, in 2012. He left Barracuda to found Eagle Eye Networks because he couldn’t get a reliable video surveillance system to watch his offices all around the world. He realized the need to transform the video surveillance industry and an opportunity to do so using cloud technology.

Nine years later, companies around the world rely on Eagle Eye Networks cloud video surveillance not only for security – but also for critical business insight.
