Bengaluru: Acquisition of Indian deep tech companies looks to be gathering pace. The past few weeks have seen at least two, both coincidentally in the video surveillance field. Bengaluru-based Uncanny Vision has been acquired by Eagle Eye Networks, a US company founded by Dean Drako, who had previously founded storage company Barracuda Networks. EnCloudEn, another Bengaluru company, has been acquired by Nasdaq-listed storage company Quantum Corporation.
Ranjith Parakkal, who founded Uncanny Vision together with Navaneethan Sundaramoorthy in 2013, said the partnership with Eagle Eye would enable them to scale fast. Eagle Eye Networks is one of the world’s largest cloud video surveillance companies.
