AUSTIN, TX — Eagle Eye Networks, the global leader of cloud video surveillance, today announced the company will provide a paid day off for its U.S. employees to vote or volunteer at the polls in the coming presidential election. The holiday can be taken anytime during the in-person voting window provided by each state.
Eagle Eye Networks employees that live in states that allow early in-person voting may take a day off any time during that period or on election day to cast their vote. The time period for early voting varies by state. According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, the average starting time for early voting is 22 days before the election. Employees who live in states without the early in-person voting will be given the day off on election day to vote.
“Our goal is to support our people who, due to the pandemic strongly prefer to vote early to avoid the potential safety risks of larger crowds on election day,” said Dean Drako, Eagle Eye Networks founder & CEO. “It is my hope that other companies doing business in the United States will join us in giving their employees paid time off to vote and the flexibility to take advantage of early voting. In doing so, as a community we can help distribute the crowd size and make it as safe as possible for everyone to vote.”
