More than 90% of parents want camera sharing with police during school emergencies

BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — The question of what can be done to prevent school shootings has risen to the forefront again in light of the fatal shooting at a Georgia high school this week.

People often talk about the police response, or preventative measures schools can take to protect themselves. But most parents in the United States say there is another thing they want.

A new survey commissioned by Eagle Eye Networks revealed that 96% of parents want schools to share their camera feeds with police in emergency situations. 56% of the survey respondents want this to be federally mandated, and about 80% believe this would save lives. What’s further, about 86% of parents would feel safer if live video could be connected with a 911 dispatcher.
