SHIPS is a retail company that sells high-quality clothing for men, women, and children through more than 90 shops across Japan. Initially, SHIPS used only analog cameras for its crime prevention strategy, but soon determined it needed to eliminate the risk of damage and failure of local recording devices. In addition, the leadership team wanted the ability to manage all cameras across all stores remotely 24/7 from a centralized cloud-based system. They chose the Eagle Eye Cloud Video Management System (VMS) to help them accomplish these goals.
The Eagle Eye Cloud VMS securely saves videos in the cloud without placing a burden on existing network bandwidth. Moreover, the Eagle Eye system can support thousands of camera manufacturers and their various models.
The relationship between SHIPS and Eagle Eye Networks started in 2016 with the Eagle Eye system deployed in one location with six cameras. Since then, the partnership has grown tremendously to approximately 250 cameras in more than 20 locations. Going forward, Eagle Eye Networks will continue to support SHIPS’s needs for security and assist in their adoption of this cloud-based video surveillance system across Japan.
