This is the most wonderful time of year to help increase sales and end the fourth quarter on a solid note; however, this season of joy brings several added risks. As brick-and-mortar stores and the retail industry at large adapt to the digital age, they now face an urgent threat: the alarming increase in retail theft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nationwide retail theft accounted for $112.1 billion in losses in 2022, and that number is expected to balloon to $143 billion by 2025, according to the National Retail Federation (NRF). In addition to impacting retailers&amp;rsquo; bottom line, aggressive retail theft dampens the shopping experience, heightens safety concerns for customers, and may cause higher prices and reduced access to products.
