Alarm receiving centres are streamlining their operations for handling video alarms by monitoring and acting upon them automatically from the Sitasys’ evalink alarm management platform, bringing significant operational advantages to service operation centers.

Amsterdam – Protectas, the Swiss subsidiary of the Swedish Securitas AB Group (which has no connection with Securitas AG) has joined forces with Eagle Eye Networks and Sitasys, respectively the global leader in cloud-based video surveillance and the Swiss leader in automated cloud-based alarm management, to implement a “Cloud-to-Cloud” surveillance solution into their existing operations system. This integration connects Protectas’ security operations centres with automated video detection to carry their intervention services across Switzerland.

“The world of technology is rapidly changing,” says Pascal Hulalka, CTO at Protectas. “People who want to keep up with developments and at the same time benefit from professional services need to be able to take advantage of appropriate offerings in the market. The integration of cloud solutions in the field of security allows users to exchange data digitally, save time, reduce operations to a minimum, and avoid unnecessary intervention costs thanks to automated audio and/or video detection.”

Sitasys used Eagle Eye Networks RESTful API platform and Big Data Video Framework™ to rapidly develop and deliver a unique cyber secured integration between its Sitasys’ evalink automated cloud-based alarm management platform and the Eagle Eye Networks cloud-based video surveillance platform. The integrated system allows users to connect video analytics with smart workflows and automate operational processes. Additionally, users can index, search, retrieve, and analyze video based on alarms from the Sitasys’ evalink platform. The integration and verification process saves time, reduces operations to a minimum, and prevents unnecessary intervention costs. Recently, Sitasys and Eagle Eye Networks also implemented that with Advanced analytics from Eagle Eye Cloud VMS where alarms can be monitored and acted upon automatically from the Sitasys’ evalink alarm management platform, bringing significant operational advantages to service operation centers.

“With the Sitasys’ evalink platform, we help companies like Protectas to automate processes and create additional value for their customers,” added Peter Monte, CEO, and Founder of Sitasys AG. “Seamless integration of true cloud systems results in a fantastic ecosystem with best-in-class experiences and services for its users. I am really happy that Protectas shares this vision and has quickly grasped the added value of such a solution for their organization.”

This new alliance is part of the collective efforts to bring together key industry players and will provide the following advantages :

  • Pooling of knowledge and know-how of experts in the security and video industry
  • Multi-protocol alarm and video security platform
  • Open and secure platform offering flexibility and scalability
  • Two security operations centres for redundant national coverage.

“We knew when we started the conversation with Sitasys that a true Cloud-to-Cloud video and alarm integration would provide great value to Alarm Receiving Centers. Now that the largest Alarm Receiving Center in Switzerland Protectas has decided to adopt this solution, we are sure this is just the beginning of how we contribute to making a better, more integrated Security Ecosystem with our open API strategy.”, says Rishi Lodhia, Managing Director at Eagle Eye Networks EMEA.

“I am delighted that our partner Sitasys, a dynamic and innovative Swiss company, has integrated the Eagle Eye Networks solution. Many of our business and private customers could benefit from this technological improvement. Protectas, a pioneer in security technology, will be able to offer more remote monitoring services based on the latest digital solutions” adds Pascal Hulalka, CTO at Protectas.
